LAGO is a research and creative collective on movement, culture and the arts. Our mission is to change the narrative on the global movement of people.
Established in 2023, LAGO has rapidly established itself as a leading voice on how to change the narrative on the global movement of people through innovative, imaginative and data-led projects. We produce beautiful and impactful content in collaboration with researchers and award-winning designers, artists and musicians; we curate the most engaging and always sold out events; we host a podcast with thought leaders proposing new perspectives on urgent and unresolved challenges; our work on passport inequality has incredible press coverage and our audiences are expanding rapidly. Most importantly, we have forged the most meaningful and authentic partnerships all over the globe.
We now need a Digital Content Manager with a marketing mindset to help us take out content to the next level of impact, to reach new audiences and to deepen our engagement with our existing followers. You will join a small but incredibly dedicated core team; our founder Marta Foresti, Kenji Maghoma, Director of Communications and Ruby Harvey, Community and Development Coordinator, working closely with a range of talented collaborators.
You will be fluent in digital culture, have experience producing compelling and high quality video content, have a track record of managing and growing social media platforms and have good knowledge of leveraging content for marketing purposes. You will also have a strong understanding and ideally some experience of AI tools for content management and production. You will have exceptional attention to detail and an eye for good design, comfortable working flexibly and at rapid pace as part of a dynamic and dedicated team
You’ll report to our Director of Communications to shape, manage and grow our digital presence and increase our external visibility and outreach. Together, we want to push boundaries, connect meaningfully with our audiences and fiercely carry our message of the beauty of movement to the world.
Required skills and experience
You will need to demonstrate proven experience and a track record in:
Actively managing and growing social media accounts
Turning different content formats (images, text, audio etc.) into scroll-stopping short and long form videos and other visuals
Growing followers across digital platforms especially Instagram, You Tube, TikTok and LinkedIn
Increasing content engagement across different digital platforms
Understanding digital trends and experimenting with content formats
Using AI tools (with caution) for content creation (especially videos) and scheduling
Supporting outreach to sponsor, funders and parters
Bonus if you have:
Audio editing or podcast production experience
Experience and good understating of design, architecture, arts, and the cultural sector more broadly
An active interest in global policy and international relations
Key Responsibilities
Growth & Strategy
Develop, implement and monitor a social media/digital growth and engagement strategy
Advise on SEO and discoverability of content
Use analytics and insights to inform decision-making
Make monthly reports with insights and recommendations
Collaborate with the team on strategy and alignment
Social Media Management
Establish and grow LAGO’s video based platforms, i.e YouTube and TikTok
Increase followers on our well established channels i.e Instagram and LinkedIn
Day-to-day management of all LAGO social media channels
Schedule and publishing posts, stories, reels, shorts, etc.
Improve online audience engagement: comments, DMs, resharing, etc.
Digital Content Management
Lead LAGO’s video production – both short and long form, using new and existing content
Elevate and repurpose existing project outputs into standout digital content integrating different formats as needed (we work with text, images, sounds, videos and audios)
Source and edit images and visual assets
Assist the production of our podcast (un) common ground
Marketing
Support the team in in creating visually compelling decks and presentations for partners, sponsors and events
Assist with the preparation of digital assets for sponsor / funder engagement (e.g. visuals, event snapshots, social recaps)
Support outreach and pitches to sponsors and funders

We work in hybrid mode, partially in person and partially remotely and we can accommodate flexible working hours ideally within GMT+4 timezones
We have weekly team meetings and regular check in calls and meet-ups in London when possible. Whenever you’re in London, you’ll have access to the Exchange at Somerset House
