Salary: £26,000 - £32,000 (DOE)

Role Overview
We’re seeking a passionate and highly organised Community and Development Coordinator to join our team and support the implementation and management of key initiatives. You will support planning and execution of LAGO projects as well as digital and strategic communications. This role will involve supporting important initiatives like the Africa-Europe Mayors' Dialogue, assisting in producing creative events, managing social media channels, and co-ordinating all aspects of LAGO operations. You'll play a vital role in ensuring that our community is engaged and connected.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management: Assist with managing partner engagement and the planning of operations and communications activities for key LAGO initiatives.
Event Production: Help organise events (physical, hybrid and online) that foster collaborations between creatives, policymakers, and researchers.
Social Media: Contribute to driving engagement across LAGO's social media platforms (currently Instagram, LinkedIn), help produce social media content (with a focus on digital and visual assets), implement LAGO’s posting schedule and provide regular reports and insights.
Content & Communications: Co-ordinate the delivery of content for LAGO’s newsletters, social media, website and creative products.
Database & Operational Support: Maintain LAGO’s contact databases and handle key administrative tasks for smooth project delivery.
Required Skills & Experience
At least 3 years' experience in project management and/or operations, digital and social media management.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in copy editing and content creation.
Proficiency in creating digital assets and graphic design materials for both online and physical use e.g. social media, websites, posters, business cards, and event communications.
Experience managing social media accounts and using digital tools to track and report on performance.
Comfortable working independently and taking initiative.
Relationship-building skills and the ability to support partnerships and collaborations.
Fluent in English.
Desirable Skills & Experience
Experience working in arts, design and social or economic policy-related issues.
Based in or around London for in-person meetings and collaborative working.
Proficiency in an additional language is a plus.
The post is offered full time with the possibility of agreeing on flexible working arrangements. The post is offered as PAYE for UK residents/candidates with the right to work in the UK, or as a consultancy.
