Before joining LAGO, Ruby was working in a range of sectors including sustainability, charity, social housing and local government.
Ruby’s experience includes working at the Lancaster West Neighbourhood Team in the post-Grenfell Tower Tragedy context, the New Internationalist, Conversations Across Borders, and Cinema for Peace Foundation.
With an MA in Development Studies from the Institute of Development Studies, Ruby’s research focuses on spatial politics in contexts of migration and creative methods to encourage community-building and sanctuary, resist bordering practices and communicate pertinent social issues.
