'The Moving City' explores the metropolis as a crossroads for ideas, stories and people moving within and between cities. Every year, LAGO Collective brings together visionary and award-winning artists, designers, researchers and policymakers to re-imagine how we think and speak about the movement of people. From Tehran to Accra, London and Bethlehem join us for an evening like no other. Hosted by Marta Foresti and the LAGO team, this year the event will feature the most amazing line up of speakers and contributors.

Pooneh Ghoddoosi, International Broadcaster and Media Executive; Yayra Agbofah, Founder and Creative Director of The Revival; Emilia Terragni, Editorial Director at Phaidon Press; Giles Tettey Nartey, Artist and Architect; Nana Biamah-Ofosu, Architect, Writer, Director at YAA Projects; Nate Agbetu, Cultural Curator and Associate Lecturer; Eka Ikpe, Director at the African Leadership Centre, King's College London; Farah Piriye Coene, Independent Art Curator and Co- Founder of ZEITGEIST19; and Ayo Akinwolere, broadcaster and world record swimmer.

With the participation of Federica Fragapane, Tiziana Alocci, Kikelomo Oludemi, Steve Happi, Ian Teh and Alex Booker.

For the 2025 edition, we are working with Wonder Cabinet, a space for art production and cultural development founded by award winning architectural duo AAU Anastas, based in Bethlehem, Palestine. Throughout the evening and beyond we will be fundraising in support of their work, to safeguard, protect and celebrate spaces of wonder across borders and in places where it matters like never before.

The afterparty will feature DJ sets from Oroko Radio and LAGO’s DJs in residence.

Guests are also invited to join Whitechapel Lates and visit Catching Flies with Honey  by artist Joy Gregory.
